Cows
Cows in the herd are by a number of different Sires including Sagitaire, Voltaire, Obelix, Emissaire, Texas, Onu and Kracker to give a spread of genetics. We aim to be able to supply the type of animal that suits you.
Bulls
Senior stock bull is Emerald Popeye who is large polled bull with high growth rates, superb legs and feet and a quiet temperament.
The New Junior Herd Sire for 2011 is the outstanding young bull Ashbury Jackal - winner of Best Bull Calf in the Irish Beef Expo 2010.
Ai Sires Turbulent and Theoreme have also been used.
Commercial Herd
The commercial herd is largely made up of crossbred heifers by various different beef breeds that were kept from the Friesian herd. These cows are now run with a Salers bull giving good quality calves that are easily born. In 2009, 100% of calves were born live with no losses.
For Sale
We normally have a selection of cattle for sale including polled and horned pedigree bulls which are ideal for suckler or dairy herds.
Crossbred cows and heifers, and a small number of pedigree females are also for sale.

Visitors are always welcome by appointment.

Showing Success
We showed cattle at several shows in 2009 and had considerable success including:
- 1st placed Junior Heifer - Balmoral
- 1st placed Senior Heifer and Reserve Champion - Ballymena
- 2nd placed Bull - Saintfield
- 2nd placed Bull - Castlewellan
- 2nd placed pairs - Castlewellan
- 2nd placed pairs - Ballymena
Our young home bred bull, Emerald Arthur, went on to be sold at the Premiere Salers Sale at Castle Douglas in Scotland in November 2009.
